With the conclusion of the Opening Ceremonies of the 2012 Olympic Games on Friday, what could only be termed a massive cleanup was set to begin. Throughout the Olympic Games in London, cleaning crews will struggle to keep the streets of London and the Olympic park as clean as they possibly can with thousands of athletes and hundreds of thousands of spectators going in and out each day. When the Closing Ceremonies are held on August 17, these crews will once again face this daunting task.
Not all cleaning crews will have to deal with the massive amount of cleanup and coordination that an event like the Olympic Games require, but chances are that sometime in your career you have, or will, be tasked with cleaning up after a large event. What kinds of issues can be inherent when cleaning up after large groups of people? What are some of the more memorable events you''ve had to clean up after?
What kind of advice can you give someone who is tasked with cleaning up after a large event?
